Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring a Casual Frontshop Assistant for the Phesantekraal store in Durbanville. You will support customer service at point of sale, ensure products are well displayed and stock is kept fresh and available.

You will assist with restocking, price accuracy, and daily takings while upholding Dis-Chem standards and health and safety guidelines. A retail background and willingness to work retail hours are preferred.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or Matric/Senior Certificate.
• 0–6 months retail work experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full ranges of products are on shelves and neatly presented.
• Maintain stock on shelves to prevent sell-by date issues.
• Restock merchandise to maximise sales.
• Handle all purchases and payments (cash, cards, vouchers, etc.).
• Exchange merchandise when authorised by Frontshop Leader.
• Ensure cash is secure and up to date.
• Maintain a tidy storeroom and clean store environment.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service with up-to-date product knowledge.
• Assist with stock taking and reporting damaged/expired stock.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem policies and health and safety rules.
