Job summary

Pepkor Lifestyle in Sandton is seeking a vigilant Cashier to manage till points, process POS transactions, and balance cash. You will support cellular, credit, and service administration during downtime, while upholding security and company procedures.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in retail, Grade 12, basic MS Office skills, and a knack for accurate cash handling and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate required.
• 2–3 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Practical experience in financial administration or cash handling roles.
• SAP experience is advantageous.
• Basic computer literacy: MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process Point of Sale transactions and cash ups per company policies.
• Capture manual invoices electronically within 24 hours and attach to manuals.
• Promote add-on sales on customer purchases.
• Maintain till security, balance cash ups and floats.
• Assist customers with credit, cellular applications and ancillary services.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure compliance with consumer protection laws.
