Job summary

Pepkor Lifestyle in Randburg is seeking a meticulous Cashier to manage till points, process POS transactions accurately, and maintain store security. You will balance cash, handle card payments, and ensure invoices are filed promptly.

The role also covers upselling add-ons, providing friendly customer service, answering calls, and supporting cellular, credit, and service administration during downtimes.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• 2–3 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Practical experience in financial administration or cash handling.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel).
• SAP experience is advantageous.
• Sound understanding of financial compliance legislation.

Responsibilities

• Process Point of Sale transactions and cash ups in line with policy.
• Capture invoices electronically within 24 hours and attach to manual copies.
• Promote add-on sales on customer purchases.
• Maintain TV licence registers and process TV licence purchases.
• Balance cash ups and floats with supervision.
• Ensure till points and workstations are secure and clean.
• Answer calls with standard greetings and take accurate messages.
• Assist with cellular, credit, and lay-by sales activities.
• Provide customer-centric service and handle complaints promptly.
• Support other admin tasks including credit and cellular applications.
