Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, Civil Engineering, Architecture).
• Master's degree preferred for senior leadership.
• Minimum 10 years in commercial real estate development with a strong project portfolio.
• Deep knowledge of Cape Town development landscape, zoning, permitting, and market dynamics.
• Proven success in land acquisition, project financing, and managing complex developments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in development software, financial modeling tools, and PM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and acquire land for commercial development projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market analysis, and financial modeling for developments.
• Manage development lifecycle: zoning, permitting, design, approvals.
• Oversee architecture and engineering teams to align with project goals.
• Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resources.
• Coordinate construction activities ensuring quality, safety, and environment standards.
• Secure project financing through negotiations with banks and investors.
• Build relationships with authorities, communities, and industry partners.
• Lead and mentor development professionals to foster collaboration.
• Monitor market trends for opportunities and value creation.
• Prepare and present project proposals and progress reports to leadership.
