Job summary

Absa is seeking a commercially minded senior business development executive to lead client origination, sector growth and revenue generation across Transactional Banking. You will drive opportunities, build trusted client relationships and coordinate with Product, Coverage, Corporate Sales, FI Sales and Regional teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

A relevant degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Banking or Business.
Postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
8–12 years' experience within Transactional Banking, Corporate Banking, Sales, Coverage or Business Development.
Proven track record in client acquisition, business development or revenue generation.
Strong understanding of Transactional Banking products and solutions in complex organisations.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across priority sectors and client segments.
Develop sector growth plans and build deep client ecosystem insights.
Maintain relationships with key decision-makers across target clients and collaborate with product and sales teams.
Contribute to revenue objectives and manage opportunity pipelines with disciplined forecasting.
