Job summary

Old Mutual Limited is seeking a dynamic MFC Broker Consultant in the Western Cape. The role focuses on building and sustaining a portfolio of independent brokers, growing adviser participation, and increasing product penetration across MFC Funeral and Two Mountains offerings.

You will partner with brokers, analyze performance, and drive structured engagement and activation plans. The position requires robust sales acumen, broker-network development, and travel within the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 required; relevant business/sales qualification advantageous.
• 3–5 years of sales and business development experience in long-term insurance, preferably Mass Foundation and independent broker market.
• Experience in broker recruitment, onboarding, activation and development.
• Strong understanding of broker commissions and commercial drivers; ability to build and support broker/adviser teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit and onboard independent brokers and advisers for Old Mutual MFC Funeral and Two Mountains products.
• Develop growth plans with key brokers, including targets and activation actions.
• Manage an allocated broker portfolio with segmentation and regular reviews.
• Conduct broker engagements and performance discussions to drive productivity and quality of business.
• Market Old Mutual and Two Mountains propositions to brokers; identify new market opportunities.
• Provide sales enablement and process support to improve broker capability and results.
• Track and report on broker performance, opportunities and commitments.
