Job summary

Standard Bank Group is seeking an experienced Universal Bank Team Leader in Tokai, Western Cape, to drive branch-based revenue, deepen client relationships, and lead a high-performing sales team. The role emphasizes client-centric service, regulatory compliance, and strategic market execution.

You will coach Universal Bankers, manage risk, and ensure top-notch client experiences while meeting branch financial targets and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce or FAIS-aligned qualification (NQF7) in banking, finance, sales or management.
• RE1 and RE5 qualifications preferred.
• 5–7 years in retail/universal banking with frontline sales exposure.
• 2–3 years of leadership experience managing sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive sustained sales and revenue growth by deepening client relationships and acquiring new business.
• Lead, coach and develop Universal Bankers to build a high-performance sales and service culture.
• Ensure exceptional client experience with a client-centric approach and effective issue resolution.
• Oversee risk, compliance and conduct management across the branch, including FAIS and Fit and Proper requirements.
• Utilize market insights and performance data to optimise client coverage and branch execution.
