Job summary

Standard Bank Group is seeking an experienced Universal Banker in Gauteng to engage clients, understand their needs, and deliver suitable banking solutions. You will promote products, support branch sales targets, and ensure compliance with risk, KYC, POPIA, and FAIS requirements while delivering excellent client service.

The role requires a proven sales track record, a client-focused approach, and strong knowledge of banking processes and channels.

Qualifications

3 to 4 years’ experience in branch banking, financial services, contact centre sales or client-facing sales environment.
Proven sales track record with ability to identify client needs and cross-sell banking solutions.
Strong understanding of banking products, client servicing and account opening.

Responsibilities

Engage clients across branch and related channels to understand needs and provide appropriate banking solutions.
Identify sales opportunities and promote relevant banking products to achieve growth objectives.
Open, amend, transfer and close client accounts in line with risk controls and FAIS/POPIA requirements.
Assess client needs by reviewing account conduct and information to provide informed recommendations.
Educate clients on banking processes, digital functionality, and product features in line with the Code of Banking Practice.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to a high-performing branch environment.
