Job summary

Job description

Our client in the Northern Suburbs is looking for a reliable and presentable candidate with experience at a junior to mid-level in accounting. The ideal candidate must be well-groomed, professional and a non-smoker.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Full financial processing up to balance sheet.
  • Intercompany processing and reconciliations.
  • Capturing and processing weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Preparing and submitting statutory returns (PAYE reconciliations VAT201 EMP201 COID etc.).
  • Cashflow management and bank processing (FNB).
  • Conducting costing control and stock control activities.
  • Supporting HR and Industrial Relations processes.
  • Preparing BEE social and ethical certification documentation.
  • Using advanced Excel skills (pivot table analysis complex formulas).
  • Providing day-to-day IT problem-solving support.
  • Performing ad hoc financial and administrative duties as required.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in financial administration up to balance sheet level.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel (pivot tables formulas).
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
  • Experience in HR support and industrial relations advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
