Job summary

HGS in Cape Town is seeking a bilingual Purchasing Agent (English/French) to support sourcing and purchasing of goods and services across the business. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure purchasing activity is completed accurately, cost-effectively and in line with procurement policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or related admin function advantageous.
• Ability to source suppliers and obtain competitive pricing while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Experience with purchase orders, supplier management or procurement systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Independent worker following established procurement processes and policies.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Fluent bilingual communication in French and English.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
