About the Role

Our client, a prominent automotive dealership in George, Western Cape , is looking for a motivated and results-driven Automotive Service Manager to lead their service department. This senior role involves overseeing all aspects of service operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving profitability, and managing a team of service advisors and technicians. Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the automotive service department. Manage, train, and motivate a team of service advisors and automotive technicians. Manage workshop scheduling, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimizing downtime. Monitor parts inventory, order supplies, and maintain relationships with vendors. Approve work orders and manage service department expenses. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching to staff.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or in a similar leadership role within the automotive industry. Strong understanding of automotive repair techniques, diagnostics, and service management. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, drive sales, and improve customer satisfaction. Proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. A valid driver's license. Experience in the Western Cape region is advantageous.
