Job summary

Stor-Age Property REIT Limited in Strand/Somerset West is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to open the facility, manage daily stock counts, and supervise staff. You will coordinate loading/unloading of trucks, supervise daily operations, monitor attendance, maintain stock records, and ensure a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires strong people skills, reliable planning, basic Excel, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with adherence to labour laws.

Responsibilities

• Open and lock up the factory/warehouse daily.
• Monitor and record staff attendance for fortnightly-paid employees.
• Conduct daily stock counts and maintain accurate stock records.
• Coordinate loading and unloading of trucks in the mornings and evenings.
• Plan and coordinate daily washing of containers/cans and replenish stock.
• Supervise warehouse staff and ensure duties are completed.
• Monitor performance and address productivity or attendance issues.
• Ensure compliance with workplace and labour legislation.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist with planning and coordination of daily warehouse activities.
• Identify and resolve operational issues where possible.
• Ensure warehouse procedures and standards are followed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Must belocal to the area (Strand/Somerset West)and able to reliably commute to the workplace.
• Open and lock up the factory/warehouse daily.
• Working hours:06:45 – 18:00.
• Monitor and record daily staff attendance for fortnightly-paid employees, including warehouse/factory staff and truck assistants.
• Conductdaily stock countsand ensure accurate stock records are maintained.
• Coordinate theloading and unloading of trucksin the mornings and evenings.
• Plan and coordinate the daily washing of containers/cans and ensure stock is replenished as required.
• Supervise warehouse staff and ensure that all employees complete their assigned duties.
• Monitor staff performance and address any issues relating to productivity, conduct or attendance.
• Ensure that basic workplace and labour legislation is adhered to.
• Maintain aclean, tidy, organised and safe warehouse/factory environmentat all times.
• Assist with the planning and coordination of daily warehouse activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify operational issues and take initiative to resolve them where possible.
• Ensure that warehouse procedures and standards are consistently followed.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Previous experience in awarehouse, factory, logistics or operations environment.
• Previous staff supervision or management experience will be advantageous.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Ability to manage, motivate and hold staff accountable.
• BasicMicrosoft Excelskills.
