Warehouse Supervisor position available in Cape Town.
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient stock control, receiving, dispatch, storage, housekeeping, and team supervision.
The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory and operational standards.
Location: Milnerton, Cape Town.
Salary: R20 000 – R35 000 per month depending on experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 essential.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, receiving, dispatch, and inventory management.
- Experience working with ERP/WMS systems would be advantageous.
- Forklift licence advantageous.
- Good computer literacy, especially MS Excel and stock management systems.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock movements.
- Manage and lead warehouse staff, ensuring productivity, discipline, training, and adherence to company procedures.
- Ensure accurate stock control, including regular cycle counts and participation in stock takes.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies, damages, shortages, or slow-moving stock.
- Ensure raw materials, finished goods, and consumables are stored correctly and safely.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure orders are prepared and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Ensure all warehouse documentation and system transactions are completed accurately.
- Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives to increase warehouse efficiency.
- Monitor equipment usage and report maintenance requirements for forklifts, pallet jacks, shelving, and other warehouse assets.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
