Job summary

Exceed HR and Recruitment in Strand is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse and factory operations, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient processes.

You will lead staff, monitor attendance and performance, conduct daily stock counts, and coordinate loading and unloading of goods to maintain productivity. Based in Strand/Somerset West with 06:45-18:00 availability, you will assist with maintenance and uphold standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, factory, logistics, or operations environment.
• Staff supervision or management experience advantageous.
• Must be based in Strand/Somerset West area or able to commute.
• Availability to work from 06:45-18:00.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and factory.
• Open and secure the warehouse daily and ensure smooth operations throughout the day.
• Supervise warehouse and factory staff, monitor attendance, and manage performance.
• Conduct daily stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks and ensure efficient movement of goods.
• Plan and oversee container/can washing and ensure sufficient stock is available.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Ensure warehouse procedures, workplace standards, and basic labour requirements are followed.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to maintain productivity and efficiency.
• Assist with basic maintenance and practical warehouse tasks where required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, factory, logistics, or operations environment.
• Staff supervision or management experience advantageous.
• Must be based in or able to reliably commute to the Strand/Somerset West area.
• Availability to work from 06:45-18:00.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
