Placements24 is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the daily operations of a Paarl retail store. You will lead a sales team, manage inventory, and uphold customer service excellence in the Cape Winelands.

The role requires 2–3 years retail experience, leadership skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends. Residency in Paarl or willingness to relocate is preferred; training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail experience, with supervisory exposure.
• Proven ability to drive sales and customer service excellence.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Store Manager in all store operations, including sales and service.
• Supervise and motivate the sales team for high performance.
• Manage inventory levels, receiving, replenishment and shrinkage control.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and update displays.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
• Support achievement of sales targets and profitability goals.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety rules.
• Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
