Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Assistant Retail Store Manager for a leading retail brand in Polokwane, Limpopo. The role partners with the Store Manager to run daily store operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail setting.

You will lead and develop the retail team, ensure excellent service, manage inventory and POS processes, and help maintain merchandising standards while aiming to meet sales targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail leadership role
• Strong understanding of retail sales and store operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Support the development of the retail team, providing guidance and training.
• Drive sales and customer satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure displays are attractive and well-stocked.
• Assist with inventory management, stock takes, receiving and stockroom organization.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Support implementation of sales strategies and promotions.
• Manage cash handling and POS operations accurately.
• Contribute to a positive and productive work environment for the store team.
