Placements24 is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager for a well-regarded hotel in Midrand, Gauteng. The role reports to the General Manager and focuses on operations, staff leadership, and guest satisfaction to drive profitability and reputation.

You will oversee multiple departments, implement standards, and contribute to strategic input while fostering a positive work culture and strong team performance. This on-site position requires flexibility and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years in hotel management or senior supervisory role.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with hotel operations across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations and standards.
• Supervise Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage.
• Support staff training, development and performance management.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address issues promptly.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control and revenue initiatives.
• Conduct inspections to maintain cleanliness and maintenance.
• Enforce hotel policies and control inventory procurement.
• Collaborate with department heads for efficient operations.
• Act as General Manager in their absence.
