Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a motivated Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for a prestigious Sandton hotel. You will assist the F&B Director across restaurants, bars, room service and banqueting, maintaining high standards of service, quality and guest satisfaction.

Lead F&B staff, manage training, and ensure cost controls while supporting menu development and events in a dynamic, upscale environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in F&B operations with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and guest-service mindset.
• Knowledge of POS systems and F&B software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the F&B Director in managing daily operations.
• Supervise staff, provide training and motivation.
• Ensure service standards and guest satisfaction.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and stock levels.
• Support cost-control measures and revenue targets.
• Contribute to menu planning and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments for seamless service.
• Support banqueting and special events.
