Placements24 in Welkom seeks an Aquatics Manager to lead the aquatic center operations, ensure safety, cleanliness, and efficient facility performance. You will supervise lifeguards and instructors, develop programming, and oversee water quality and equipment.

This role emphasizes community health and safety, staff development, budget management, and delivering outstanding patron experiences through well-run programs and reliable maintenance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in aquatics leadership or related role.
• Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications required.
• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pool operations, water chemistry, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the aquatic center including pool maintenance and water quality.
• Manage, train, and supervise lifeguards, instructors, and attendants.
• Develop and promote a diverse range of aquatic programs and events.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Manage the facility budget including staffing, supplies and maintenance.
