Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion seeks an experienced Aquatic Facility Manager to lead operations at a premier water sports and recreation center. You will supervise lifeguards, instructors, and maintenance staff while enforcing rigorous safety standards and ensuring top-tier patron experience.

You will oversee water quality, facility upkeep, and program delivery, with accountability for budgeting and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of aquatic facility management or related supervisory experience.
• Current Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
• Pool Operator Certification (CPO) is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff, schedules, and training.
• Strong knowledge of pool chemistry, water treatment, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of aquatic facilities, ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Supervise and schedule lifeguards, swim instructors, and maintenance staff.
• Develop and enforce safety policies and emergency procedures, including drills.
• Maintain pool areas, equipment, and water quality testing.
• Manage facility budget covering staffing, supplies and repairs.
• Plan aquatic programs, events and swimming lessons to maximize usage and revenue.
