Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aquatics management, preferably in a supervisory or director capacity.
• Current lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications are mandatory; Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and staff management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of pool operations, safety standards, and risk management within the aquatics industry.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the aquatics facility, including scheduling, staffing, and budget oversight for all swimming programs.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and emergency protocols, maintaining a safe environment for all patrons and staff.
• Develop, implement, and promote a diverse range of aquatics programs, such as swim lessons, water aerobics, and competitive swimming teams.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise aquatics staff, including lifeguards and instructors, ensuring high performance and certification compliance.
• Monitor facility maintenance and cleanliness, coordinating with maintenance staff to address any issues promptly.
• Foster positive relationships with members, address inquiries, and resolve any complaints or concerns related to aquatics services in Centurion.
