Placements24 is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their IT department in Soweto as Apprentice IT Support Technicians. The apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure.

You will learn to manage help desk tickets, assist with network administration, and support various computer systems and applications.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
• Interest in information technology and customer support.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and a helpful attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and IT challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to users via phone, email, and in person.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and printers.

• Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the IT environment.
• Document IT procedures, support guides, and maintain an inventory of IT assets.
