Job summary

Lotus Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced financial professional to lead the full financial function up to balance sheet for an engineering or manufacturing client in South Africa. A BComm degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience are required.

You will monitor monthly reporting, assist with budget formation and forecast production, investment and project costs, handle VAT returns and tax compliance, and work under pressure with an assertive, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a BComm degree with 5–10 years experience performing a full financial function up to balance sheet, including foreign creditors management, within an engineering or manufacturing company.
• Proven experience in monitoring and analysis of monthly reporting, assisting with formulating the groups annual budget and accurately forecasting production, investment and ad hoc project costs.
• Experience in VAT returns, VAT recons and annual/provisional income tax returns.
• Ability to work under pressure, with an assertive and proactive working style and a track record in meeting deadlines.
• ERP experience with SAP, QMuzik, Syspro and advanced Excel skills.
• Preference given to candidates resident in the Winelands and Cape Town Northern Suburbs.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

• You must have completed a BComm degree, coupled with 5-10 years experience performing a full financial function up to balance sheet, including foreign creditors management, within an engineering or manufacturing company
• Proven experience in monitoring and analysis of monthly reporting, assisting with formulating the groups annual budget and accurately forecasting production, investment and ad hoc project costs
• In addition, you will have experience in VAT returns, VAT recons and annual/provisional income tax returns
• You must be able to work under pressure, have an assertive and proactive working style and have a track record in meeting deadlines.
• You must have worked on an ERP system (such as SAP, QMuzik, Syspro) and have advanced Excel skills
• Preference given to candidates resident in the Winelands and Cape Town Northern Suburbs.
