Job summary

Helderberg Personnel CC in Somerset West, Western Cape, seeks an experienced Accounting & Production Administrator to manage financial administration, costing, and production planning.

You will handle cashbooks, VAT calculations, supplier credit reviews, and detailed production cost spreadsheets, working closely with senior management.

Qualifications

• Matric with a relevant diploma or tertiary qualification.
• Experience in accounting environment.
• Exposure to production planning, manufacturing, costing or production administration advantageous.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
• Residing in Helderberg area or within reasonable travelling distance.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Practical, methodical and comfortable with large amounts of detailed information.
• Able to work independently while liaising with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounting and financial administration.
• Maintain and process cashbooks.

• Assist with general accounting and financial administration.
• Prepare statutory returns.
• Review and complete supplier credit applications and agreements.
• Production planning and costing.
• Maintain and update product codes.
• Assist with weekly production planning.
• Maintain detailed spreadsheets for production cost estimates and costing.
• Update and manage production and costing schedules.
• Prepare and maintain ad hoc spreadsheets and reports.
• Ensure production and costing information is accurate and ready for management.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Accounting & Financial Administration
• Maintaining and processing cashbooks
• Calculating VAT relating to the above entities
• Assisting with general accounting and financial administration
• Preparing statutory returns
• Reviewing and completing supplier credit applications and agreements
• Production Planning & Costing
• Maintaining and updating product codes
• Assisting with weekly production planning
• Maintaining detailed spreadsheets relating to production cost estimates and product costing
• Updating and managing various production and costing schedules
• Preparing and maintaining ad hoc spreadsheets and reports
• Ensuring production and costing information is accurate, current and readily available for management purposes

Requirements:

• Matric with relevant diploma or tertiary qualification
• Previous experience in an accounting environment
• Exposure to production planning, manufacturing, costing or production administration will be highly advantageous
• Strong numerical ability and an excellent understanding of figures
• Advanced spreadsheet / Excel skills are essential
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
• Residing in the Helderberg area or within reasonable travelling distance
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
• Highly organised and able to manage a variety of ongoing tasks and deadlines
