Job summary

KingsleyIrons Recruitment Services CC is seeking an Accountant for a manufacturing client in Gauteng. The role focuses on stock and inventory management, accurate costing, variance analysis, and reliable financial reporting to support factory operations.

Responsibilities include managing stock across materials, WIP and finished goods, reconciling discrepancies, preparing costings, and producing inventory reports. IFRS compliance and ERP experience (Syspro preferred) are essential.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting degree or equivalent.
• Articles with SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA or 3–5 years accounting experience.
• Strong stock control, inventory reconciliations and cost accounting.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge; Syspro an advantage.
• Thorough knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting and compliance.
• Variance analysis, audit support and inventory reporting.

• Manage stock levels across raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Perform regular stock reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare product costing and analyse variances between actual and standard costs.
• Produce management reports on inventory, obsolescence and operational efficiency.
• Support annual budgets and monthly reporting cycles.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse and sales teams for accurate stock data.
• Drive enhancements in inventory controls and cost-saving initiatives.
• Assist with audits, maintain compliance and support financial reviews.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping in ERP systems and compliance with statutory requirements.

• Strong background and exposure to stock control, inventory reconciliations, and cost accounting
