Placements24 is seeking a seasoned 5G Network Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a state-of-the-art 5G network in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee performance monitoring, incident management, and vendor relationships, ensuring high service availability.

The role requires a strong technical background in 5G technologies, ITIL practices, and proven leadership in a telecom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 8+ years in telecommunications network operations.
• 3+ years in a management role focusing on mobile networks is required.
• Strong knowledge of 5G NR, SA/NSA core architectures, and related tech.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, problem and change management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the 5G network operations team to ensure service delivery.
• Monitor 5G network performance and address capacity constraints and issues.
• Develop and implement 5G operational procedures and best practices.
• Lead incident management to rapidly resolve outages and disruptions.
• Collaborate with engineering and planning to upgrade and expand networks.
