Go Lean Health is seeking a highly capable Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support the operational health of a busy healthcare clinic. This remote role requires sharp, proactive individuals with strong English communication and executive presence.

Key responsibilities include insurance verification, denied claims management, EOB processing, patient balance resolution, and reports tracking. Must use Mac OS and work independently with ownership and accountability.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsabilidades

• Verify patient insurance after check-in, typically around 15 minutes after scheduled appointment.
• Review denied claims, identify denial reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits documents and clear EOB backlogs.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution steps.
• Support claims-related workflows (e.g., Cigna, VA) and escalate when needed.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination, including check payments.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and ensure accuracy.
• Track missed/canceled appointments and scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog and denied claims with insights.
• Coordinate communication between provider, care team, and administrative staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend practical solutions to improve efficiency.
