Go Lean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) for a remote, 30-hour work week. The role focuses on insurance verification, denials management, EOB processing, patient balance resolution, and claims support to keep clinic operations efficient.

The ideal candidate is highly proactive, exceptionally organized, and able to take ownership of key clinic workflows with minimal supervision. Strong English communication and Mac OS proficiency are essential.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice (preferred)
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be a Mac OS user
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proven ownership or leadership experience in a previous role

Responsabilidades

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document details
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolutions
• Support claims processing including Cigna and Veterans Affairs
• Assist with vendor payment coordination
• Monitor SOAP note completion and compliance
• Track missed or canceled appointments and scheduling trends
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog, and other metrics
• Coordinate communication between provider, care team, and staff
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical improvements
