GoLean Health is seeking a highly capable Medical Virtual Assistant to support the clinic's operational health remotely. The role requires ownership, initiative, and sharp attention to detail, with the ability to think ahead and reduce billing burdens on the provider and care team.

The ideal candidate will have strong English communication, executive presence, and experience with insurance, EOBs, claims, and patient balances, operating on Mac OS with minimal supervision.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsabilidades

• Verify patient insurance after check-in, ~15 minutes post-appointment.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process EOBs and clear backlogs.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution.
• Support claims workflows including Cigna and VA claims.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and compliance.
• Track missed/canceled appointments and trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog, denied claims, and other metrics.
• Support smooth communication between provider, care team, and staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend improvements.
