Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare seeks compassionate Individual Support Technicians to assist youth with I/DD in home and community settings, delivering PBS-based interventions and skill acquisition plans.

You will help develop ADLs, socialization, and daily living skills, while collaborating with families and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and progress. This hands-on role emphasizes independence and client well‑being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, social work, human services, or related field.
• ≥ 1 year supervised experience implementing behavior support plans and teaching ADL/IADL skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to youth in home and community settings.
• Implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies and skill acquisition plans.
• Support development of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Behavioral Needs.
• Teach appropriate social behavior.
• Utilize redirection and proactive strategies to address challenging behavior.
• Train and coach parents/guardians to support skill generalization and consistency.
• Collect accurate service data and submit visit notes per compliance standards.
• Ensure client safety and well‑being at all times.
• Participate in case reviews, team meetings, supervision, and required trainings.
• Follow all agency policies, NJ CSOC/DDD guidelines, and professional standards.
• Implement PBS and skill‑building interventions with fidelity.
• Teach adaptive, social, and daily living skills.
• Support caregivers with training and carryover strategies.
• Communicate progress and concerns to supervising IST I.
