Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare seeks an Individual Support Technician to assist youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will help build daily living skills, socialization, and independence using Positive Behavior Support techniques.

Role involves hands-on skill-building with 5–35 hours weekly, focusing on safety, family coaching, data collection, and adherence to NJ CSOC/DDD guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• ≥ 1 year supervised experience developing PBS/ADL intervention plans.
• Experience supervising or mentoring support staff.
• Strong data analysis and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to youth in home and community settings.
• Implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies and skill acquisition plans.
• Support development of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Behavioral Needs, including self-care, functional skills, behavior management, and socialization.
• Teach appropriate social behavior.
• Utilize redirection and proactive strategies to address challenging behavior.
• Train and coach parents/guardians to support skill generalization and consistency.
• Collect accurate service data and submit visit notes per compliance standards.
• Ensure client safety and well-being at all times.
• Participate in case reviews, team meetings, supervision, and required trainings.
• Follow all agency policies, NJ CSOC/DDD guidelines, and professional standards.
• Develop and update behavior support and skill acquisition plans.
• Analyze data trends to monitor progress and outcomes.
• Provide supervision and guidance to IST II and IST III staff.
• Ensure fidelity of implementation across service deliveries.
