Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare seeks compassionate Individual Support Technicians to help youth with I/DD acquire daily living and social skills in home and community settings, using Positive Behavior Support strategies.

IST I responsibilities include planning, data collection, and supervising/mentoring IST II/III, with shifts typically 2–4 hours and a total of 5–35 hours per week. The role emphasizes safety, family coaching, and adherence to NJ guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience developing PBS/ADL intervention plans.
• Experience supervising or mentoring support staff.
• Strong data collection and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to youth in home and community settings.
• Implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies and skill acquisition plans.
• Support development of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Behavioral Needs (self-care, functional skills, behavior support, socialization).
• Teach appropriate social behavior.
• Utilize redirection and proactive strategies to address challenging behavior.
• Train and coach parents/guardians to support skill generalization.
• Collect accurate service data and submit visit notes per compliance standards.
• Ensure client safety and well-being at all times.
• Participate in case reviews, team meetings, supervision, and trainings.
• Follow all agency policies and NJ CSOC/DDD guidelines.
• Develop and update behavior support and skill acquisition plans.
• Analyze data trends to monitor progress and outcomes.
• Provide supervision and guidance to IST II and IST III staff.
• Ensure fidelity of implementation across service deliveries.
