Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare in Somerset County seeks compassionate Individual Support Technicians (IST I‑III) to support youth ages 5–21 in home and community settings. You will help clients acquire daily living skills, use PBS strategies, and promote independence.

This hands-on role involves coaching families, documenting visits, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Shifts vary from 2 to 4 hours, totaling 5–35 hours weekly, with training and compliance support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years supervised experience implementing behavior support plans and teaching ADL/IADL skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to youth in home and community settings.
• Implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies and skill acquisition plans.
• Support development of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Behavioral Needs, including self-care, functional skills, behavioral support, and socialization.
• Teach appropriate social behavior and use redirection and proactive strategies for challenging behavior.
• Train and coach parents/guardians to support skill generalization and consistency.
• Collect accurate service data and submit visit notes per compliance standards.
• Ensure client safety and well-being at all times.
• Participate in case reviews, team meetings, supervision, and required trainings.
