Job summary

Covenant House New York is seeking a Direct Service Manager to lead residential program staff and supervise Resident Advisors across Manhattan and the Bronx. You will ensure staff development, policy adherence, and coordinated service delivery for youth.

You will guide case planning, supervision, and training, while managing crises and maintaining program quality to achieve positive youth outcomes. This role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with diverse groups is required.
• Experience with youth, homelessness preferred.
• Experience utilizing data dashboards and metrics preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Resident Advisors with regular supervision and development.
• Oversee program operations, case planning, and ISP knowledge.
• Coordinate onboarding of new Resident Advisors.
• Maintain safety and crisis management within residential sites.
• Develop staff training and monitor performance and contracts.
• Foster positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• Represent the program at planned events.
