Job summary

The Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services is seeking a Residence Manager for its Children’s Community Residences in New York. The role supervises Senior Direct Support Professionals and Direct Support Professionals, ensuring daily operations, meals, activities, and youth attendance at programs and appointments.

You will coordinate programming across clinical, recreational, medical, and school services, participate in intake decisions, and work with HR and leadership to address staffing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services (or related field) with 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Alternative: high school diploma with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus; residential experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Windows and Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating/overseeing programming for youth including clinical, recreational, medical and school services.
• Completes weekly Direct Support Professional staff schedule two weeks in advance.
• Provides supervision to all Senior Direct Support Professional and Direct Support Professional.
• On-call for after-hours crises and for emergencies.
• Collaborates with clinical and nursing staff regarding clients’ functioning.
• Participates in intake/admission for new referrals and assessments.
• Works with Assistant Director and HR on staff issues.
• Leads weekly treatment team meetings and group supervision.
• Participates in hiring processes and maintains incident reports.
• Documents youth interactions and progress; supervises DSP documentation.
