Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support after-school programs for youth ages 6–12 at the Rehoboth Beach site.

Under the supervision of the Childcare or Program Director, you will help implement age-appropriate activities, ensure safety, and maintain licensing compliance, using the Club's five core program areas. This role requires energy, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain required state certificates for school-age centers.
• Driver's license with ability to operate an 8-passenger van.
• Pass FBI and Delaware background checks and related registries.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and operation of quality school-age childcare (ages 6–12).
• Deliver age-appropriate programs reflecting the Club’s core areas and Youth Development Strategy.
• Ensure safe implementation of programs, including equipment, facilities, and weather considerations.
• Supervise children within licensing regulations and club policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents, school staff, and visitors.
