Job summary

The Port of Seattle offers a part-time school-year and full-time summer internship lasting one year. The role supports the Talent Connections team with program coordination, outreach, documentation, and communications for internship and fellowship programs under the Talent Connections Manager.

Ideal candidates are students or recent graduates, with strong communication, organizational, and tech skills, and a commitment to equity and inclusion in youth programming.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or recently graduated (within 1 year) program in Education, Communications, English, Business, Sociology, HR, Public Affairs or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
• Able to write clearly and communicate to diverse audiences.
• Experience with youth programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide programming and outreach support, including recruitment, selection, and program facilitation.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as program documentation and SharePoint administration.
• Coordinate onboarding, facility tours, networking events and other engagement activities for youth.
• Assist in facilitating trainings and workshops, both virtually and in-person.
• Update outreach materials, welcome packets, and program manuals.
• Support outreach at career fairs and community events.
• Manage internship and veteran fellowship inboxes and LinkedIn alumni page.
• Support data organization and analysis to evaluate program outcomes and generate reports.
• Assist in webpage updates and content redesign projects.
• Contribute to development of updated outreach workflows and governance.
