Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a Program Supervisor for Year Round Youth Development Programs. You will lead before/after school programs during the school year and day camp staff in the summer, ensuring developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum are delivered.

You will supervise staff, evaluate performance, coordinate with families and schools, and help maintain a safe, high-quality program across sites. This is an onsite, full-time role with 35–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience working with children, camps, childcare, tutoring or nannying.
• One year or more of supervisory experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Have completed 30 credits of 100-level or above college-level coursework.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Pre-employment TB tests and MMR vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures planning and implementation of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities within the curriculum.
• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates site staff/volunteers; conducts staff meetings and trainings; maintains staff/child ratios.
• Communicates with parents/guardians and conducts conferences.
• Maintains professional relationships with families, school personnel and the community.
• Supervises and supports site operations, budgets, supplies, and safety procedures.
