Job summary

Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a Child and Youth Program Leader to provide specialized developmental care and instruction for ages 6 weeks through 18 years across CY programs, mentoring CY Program Assistants and guiding program activities.

Under supervisor direction, you will implement curriculum, oversee indoor/outdoor environments, promote positive interactions, supervise children, and ensure compliance with DoD and local policies.

Responsibilities

• Mentor CY Program Assistant team and provide instruction to lower-level employees.
• Plan activities and curricula based on observed needs of children and youth; adapt to special requirements.
• Oversee indoor and outdoor learning environments; ensure materials and spaces meet daily schedules and safety standards.
• Foster positive interactions among participants and with staff; apply approved child guidance techniques.
• Supervise participants with accountability and compliance with DoD, NAF, and local policies.
