Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a Child and Youth Program Leader to mentor CY Program Assistants, develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, and ensure safe, engaging activities for children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years on DoD installations.

The role emphasizes leadership, program planning, compliance with DoD standards, and collaboration with parents and staff to provide quality care and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate programs for 6 weeks to 18 years.
• Knowledge of child and youth development principles and techniques.
• Ability to train employees on DoD/care program topics.
• Ability to plan, organize, and schedule employees.

Responsibilities

• Mentor CY Program Assistant team and translate training into practice.
• Plan activities and curriculum to meet physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Prepare and maintain indoor/outdoor environment and supplies.
• Oversee safety, supervision, and departures of children and youth.
