Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a Child and Youth Program professional to provide developmental care and instruction for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years within CYP programs.

The role includes mentoring CY Program Assistants, leading curriculum planning, and ensuring safety and compliance with DoD and local policies. Strong communication with families and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate programs for children and youth from 6 weeks to 18 years.
• Knowledge of child and youth development principles and practices.
• Ability to train employees on issues including recognition and identification of childhood illnesses and child abuse.

Responsibilities

• Mentor CY Program Assistants and lead training with the T&C Specialist.
• Plan and implement curriculum and activities meeting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Supervise daily routines and ensure safety, attendance, and accountability of participants.
• Communicate with parents and staff; participate in conferences and briefings.
• Ensure compliance with DoD standards and national accreditation requirements.
