Job summary

City of Hampton's Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services department is seeking a Youth Program Leader to help organize and lead activities at community and neighborhood centers. The role supports before and after school programs, summer day camp, and other recreational activities under supervision.

You will coordinate activities, ensure safety, and communicate with families and partners. The position may require evenings, weekends, and some local travel, with adherence to city policies and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience in leading recreational activities.
• Must be 21 years or older at time of hire.
• Must obtain basic first aid and CPR certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Position is safety sensitive and subject to alcohol and controlled substances testing.
• Must pass Child Protective Services check and criminal background check prior to offer.
