Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a Program Director to oversee operations and programs for a Boys & Girls Club. You will guide staff, ensure compliance with state licensing, manage budgets, and drive development across age groups K–8 with potential teen programs.

You will recruit and train staff, coordinate with volunteers and partners, and implement youth-focused curricula while upholding safety and high-quality standards in a dynamic club setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of managing Boys & Girls Club or similar operations.
• Experience in resource and budget management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe and Outlook.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and virtual meetings.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and evaluating staff.
• Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate programs.
• Ability to build partnerships and public relations.
• Understanding of youth developmental stages.
• Knowledge of OCCL and DE Star regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day program operations for the club.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements for school age child care centers.
• Control expenditures against budgets and assist with financial development.
• Lead staff in long and short-range program planning across core areas.
• Incorporate high-yield learning activities across youth programs.
• Plan before/after care curriculum and staff/transportation schedules.
• Collaborate with community agencies for enhanced programming.
• Supervise youth within regulatory guidelines and ensure safety.
• Maintain positive interactions with members and families.
