Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a Youth Development Professional to help develop, implement, supervise, evaluate, and monitor programs for middle school and high school youths. Under the Teen Director, you’ll contribute to the program's success and safety in a supportive club environment.

The role emphasizes planning and evaluating teen activities, coordinating with schools, supervising volunteers, and maintaining a positive club culture.

Qualifications

• Background check required.
• Valid driver's license with <5 points on DMV record.
• High School Diploma with 5 years' experience with middle/high school students; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Ability to organize and operate youth programming.
• Ability to develop a positive self‑image in members.
• Demonstrated verbal and written competency.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a well-rounded teen program across Core Program Areas.
• Assist with planning, implementation and evaluation of teen programs.
• Support teen programming with School District students as a priority.
• Help supervise volunteers for teen programming.
• Assist in planning and operating club-wide activities.
• Assist in guidance and discipline of club members.
• Assist in financial development of the teen department.
• Ensure administrative duties are completed timely.
• Maintain teen area equipment and safety.
