Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a dedicated program leader to develop, organize and implement high-quality youth development, healthy living and social responsibility programs at the Tellepsen YMCA.

You will recruit, train and supervise staff and volunteers; manage budgets; coordinate registrations and marketing; ensure safety and regulatory compliance; and build partnerships with community organizations to serve families across the Houston area.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2–3 years of related programming experience in a nonprofit environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults; strong collaboration skills.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops, organizes and implements high quality programs focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
• Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs staff and volunteers; monitors performance and compliance.
• Assists in marketing and registrations; plans social media; maintains program budgets and supplies.
• Responds to inquiries and complaints; monitors program effectiveness and community partnership opportunities.
