Job summary

Navy Region Naval District Washington Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a Youth Director to administer a developmentally appropriate SAC/YP program for eligible patrons. You will direct up to 199 children, supervise staff, manage a program budget and ensure safety and compliance with DoD and local policies.

Responsibilities include planning, data reporting, community liaison, and active collaboration with CYP teams to deliver quality youth services across the installation.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing developmentally appropriate youth programs (SAC/YP).
• Ability to develop and administer programs for up to 199 children.
• Experience with budgeting, procurement, and program compliance with DoD/DoN guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, parents and partners.

Responsibilities

• Applies professional knowledge of child and youth development to supervise SAC/YP operations.
• Implements programs that promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth.
• Provides oversight for staff performance and child safety per DoD and DoN policies.
• Interprets policies and evaluates program goals based on needs assessments.
• Maintains data for planning and reporting in accordance with regulations.
• Liaises with local institutions to expand opportunities for families and youth.
• Interacts professionally with staff, parents, volunteers and installation personnel.
• Participates in issue resolution with parents and employees.
