Job summary

Commander, Navy Installations Command is seeking a Youth Director to administer developmentally appropriate SAC/YP programs for children of eligible patrons at the Patuxent River area. The role includes program management, budgeting, compliance with DoN and COA standards, and supervision of staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities include staff development, coordination with CYP Directors, and ensuring safe, quality programming with strong parent involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to youth programs and three years of specialized full-time experience working with children/youth are required.
• Experience managing SAC/YP programs and supervising staff and volunteers is expected.
• Knowledge of DoN, MCCA, COA standards and related regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer SAC/YP programs for up to 199 children.
• Manage budget input, monitor expenditures and ensure proper reporting.
• Supervise employees and volunteers, enforce safety and program standards.
• Coordinate with CYP Directors and PIB to plan operations and parent engagement.
