Job summary

Navy Region Northwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a CYP Assistant to engage and supervise children and youth, fostering social development and safety in a DoD Child and Youth Program setting at Everett, WA. The role focuses on planning activities, monitoring health and nutrition, and maintaining program quality.

The position requires adherence to DoD policies, background checks, and completion of required training, with opportunities to support families and promote positive youth

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to promote and foster effective working relationships with children, youth, and coworkers.
• Six (6) months of experience working with children or youth in a child and youth setting.
• Completion of Navy Entry Level training requirements or DoD training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans; implements activities for children and youth.
• Maintains supervision and safety of participants according to DoD policies.
• Communicates with parents and staff about program activities.
• Prepares indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials.
• Ensures compliance with DoD certification and national accreditation processes.
