Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a Youth Director with Oversight to administer a developmentally appropriate youth program and oversee all installation Child and Youth Programs (CYPs). The role includes directing a School Age Care program and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver services within funding constraints.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and full time experience working with children and youth.
• Knowledge of DoD, DON, local and state regulations pertaining to military child care.
• Knowledge of Federal and State laws governing the detection and prevention of child abuse/neglect.

Responsibilities

• Applies professional knowledge of child and youth development to develop and supervise a developmentally appropriate program.
• Provides program oversight and accountability for performance of employees and safety of children per DoD/DoN/local policies.
• Recommends modification of higher-level program goals and applies DoN policies.
• Ensures development, implementation and analysis of surveys and needs assessments for staff and patrons.
• Maintains liaison with local institutions and community organizations to stay abreast of trends.
• Develops integrated budget input and analyzes budget variances.
• Oversees collection, accounting and reporting of funds from patrons.
• Supervises employees and volunteers; ensures safety and training compliance.
• Gives input into CYP SOPs and collaborates to establish PIB.
• Compiles program data for reports and coordinates inspections.
• Serves as mandatory reporter to Family Advocacy and Child Protective Services.
