Job summary

Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a CY-1702-01/02 Assistant to support the Child and Youth Programs (CYP). The role focuses on engaging children and youth, promoting safety, health, nutrition, social skills, and age-appropriate activities under supervision.

You will help plan schedules, monitor activities, maintain clean indoor/outdoor spaces, communicate with parents, and ensure compliance with DoD and local policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience with children or youth preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work cooperatively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans aligned with CYP goals.
• Ensure safety, health, nutrition, and development of children and youth.
• Maintain indoor and outdoor environments and prepare activity areas.
• Interact professionally with parents and staff and provide feedback on activities.
• Observe and document developmental progression and coordinate with supervisors.
